How the scores are derived

Scores are calculated by this site, not issued by the brokers. Each sub-metric is scored 1–10 by ranking the researched brokers' published figures on that single line, cheapest or most favourable to the investor scoring highest; identical figures receive identical scores. A metric's headline score is the mean of its ten sub-scores, shown to one decimal. Every figure is sourced and dated per broker, because brokers publish pricing in different places and update on different schedules. Brokers marked not researched show no score at all rather than a guess. Scores compare only what is published — they do not weight how much each line matters to you, and a broker cheap on commission may be expensive on margin.
